Got there late in the afternoon around 3:30 and started flipping. I was out till around 6:30 when the sun set and the temps started to drop but I did find a half dozen S. viridis and Latrodectus hesperus at least three species of ants, they were under every other rock, and one little scorpion. I didnt get a picture of him but it looked like V. lapidicola. The little guy bolted ... Not expecting to find much got out in the field with a local bug hunting friend around 4 oclock and started walking up the hill. We didn’t find much during the day but managed to spot a bunch once the sun went down. The conditions were not the best for scorpion hunting, the wind was blowing down the canyon in very strong gusts and the temps were dropping pretty fast once the sun went down.
