Glowing worm/larvae
Last night in my backyard I saw a few really bright lights coming from the ground when I was blacklighting. I thought I was loosing my mind. After a little while I began to see them again, but this time I got a good look. They were worms/larvae of some sort and they would glow from there head, butt and between the segments. I have never seen anything like this before but they were really bright. Any idea of what it could be? I'll post pics tonight.

sounds like a fire fly mimic, or even a female firefly. The mimics lure a male ffly down with a series of beeps and flashes and the devoure the ffly.

we dont actually have fireflies here in the desert. they are found in higher elevations. we do have the glow worms or firefly mimic thing though. they pop up from time to time. while i was down south hunting for those dwarf tarantulas, i found a female firefly. they are gorgeous and quite odd looking.
