Aphonopelma sp. 'cochisei'
habitat: pine/oak forest 5000ft or higher in elevation.
the spider in all its glory.
adult female
these are definitely a small species of tarantula. not as small as paloma... but not much bigger.
the young ones have as much attitude as the adults!
