Type locality for this species is Madera Canyon in the Santa Ria Mountains, Santa Cruz County, Arizona.
Distribution within Arizona is Santa Cruz and Cochise counties. They can be found in Huachuca and Santa Rita mountains.
The few that I have been lucky enough to see in person were found under rock on the lower slops of Madera Canyon.
