some stuff i have in bloom right now
echinocereus sp.
lobivia sp. (lost the tag to this one)
encyclie bractescens
encyclia maderoi?? (john, have any idea??)
and heres a couple other random plants. i have more stuff blooming that i will post pics of soon.
encyclia alata
encyclia guatamalensis
ficus petiolaris
i got 2 packages full of terrestrial utricularia today (a type of carnivorous plant) so i will be posting pics of those soon as well

Man If I didn't know better I would say that is the fucsha colored tempance [spelling] that we found in extreme southern Florida. One question Josh...the blooms are about 1-1.5" right...?

the blooms are more around the 2" mark. very cool tho. i dont think this is a tampensis form. the plant its self doesnt look right and the petals are severely spoon shaped. tampensis has teh thick super pointed leaves, like a blade of a sword. the pseudobulb of tampensis is more egg shaped than these as well. i dunno tho man. i would love to put a name to it.

The red form of tampensis has the spoon shaped petals and is a bigger bloom , some say they are a cross [natural] between plicata and tampensis

really??? that is interesting. does it have the different shaped leaves on the plant as well?? i gotta look that up. thanks john.
